Happy Canada Day!!! While there is a lot going on in the city this weekend, most of it is celebrating Canada! Check the event calendar for the full list! 1.

Canada Day at the Citadel! Halifax Regional Municipality’s official celebration of Canada Day featuring the Royal Nova Scotia Tattoo Choir and the Royal Canadian Navy’s Stadacona Band. Following the traditional noon gun and the twenty-one gun salute, the official Canada Day cake will be served. Be part of this annual historic celebration! 2. Join us this Canada Day at the Halifax Seaport Farmers’ Market for a day full of local food, arts, crafts, music & entertainment!  There is a special kids area with crafts and games and HRM Parent will be there helping out! 3. Fisherman’s Cove Canada Day celebration! On Monday from 11am-4pm drop anchor at Fisherman’s Cove Canada Day Celebration.  Join them for the offical ceremony, birthday cake, seniors tea, bouncy castle, face painting, BBQ, Music by local band “Lets be Frank”and much more! 4. Canada Day at Grand Parade! Pepsi Pancake Breakfast Jul 1, 2013 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Free pancake breakfast, while supplies last. Flag raising and singing of O Canada. Celebrate Canada Day in the morning with free food, coffee and juice! Halifax Flag Raising Ceremony Jul 1, 2013 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM Join Myles McCormick, Vice Chair of the Halifax-Dartmouth Canada Day Committee, dignitaries, and sponsors of the Canada Day program as we raise the Canadian flag and sing O’Canada. The Tattoo Choir will be in attendance along with your local councillors! Afterwards, walk up the hill to take part in the Official Halifax Canada Day Opening Ceremony at the Halifax Citadel at 11:00am 5. Canada Day at Alderney Landing! Lots going on all day, check the listing for full details! 7. Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo Parade! July 1, 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM Fun for all ages! Bring the whole family!
