Windsor District RCMP Responds to Fatal MVA

Windsor District RCMP responded to a fatal motor vehicle crash that occurred on Highway 215, Newport Corner this afternoon.

At approximately 12:30 p.m. this afternoon, Windsor District RCMP were dispatched to a single-vehicle collision. A preliminary investigation has revealed that the vehicle left the road and the 57-year-old male driver, was pronounced deceased at the scene. A 16-year-old male passenger was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Both occupants are from Hants County.

The traffic was diverted for approximately 2 hours and since the roadway has reopened. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
