Windsor RCMP Investigate Attempted Child Abduction

Windsor District RCMP are investigating an attempted child abduction which occurred on Wednesday, February 24.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. yesterday afternoon, a 10 year old Mount Uniacke boy got off the school bus at Etter Road by the exit to the south Uniacke Park.

He was walking to his home when an unknown male approached him. The male grabbed the boy from behind, said “come with me” and attempted to get the child in his vehicle.

The child fought back and was able to get away and run to his home.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30’s, approximately 6 feet tall with medium build. He has red hair and moustache and is believed to be operating a green Toyota truck.

Anyone with information on the person responsible is asked to contact any RCMP Detachment, local Police or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477(TIPS).

Or you can submit a Secure Web Tip at crimestoppers.ns.ca.

You can also text message “TIP202 plus your message to CRIMES (274637)”.

If your tip leads to an arrest you could qualify for a cash reward between $50 and $2000.

Remember Crime Stoppers wants your information, not your name.
