A male young offender has been arrested in relation to two break-and-enter thefts in Bedford.
At about 10:45 p.m. on Sunday night, Halifax Regional Police responded to a break-and-enter at a building under construction on Bluewater Road. A security guard on the scene had spotted a male suspect inside the building and contacted police.
A police canine unit tracked the suspect, who was apprehended some distance away. During a subsequent investigation, police linked the suspect to a second break-in at a home in the area and recovered a vehicle that was reported stolen a few days earlier.
The suspect was arrested and will appear in youth court on Monday to face numerous charges.
